| Therefore, ONE VOICE! The Regional Chamber Alliance’s immediate goal is to improve the business of its members. This is accomplished by providing many valuable resources and benefits to helping members succeed, including saving money, business advocacy, promoting member businesses and community, keeping members informed, providing continuous professional development, and giving to local, worthwhile causes congruent with its mission. Our website at WWW.RCA-PA.COM features the entire “Community on Display” and was designed to be Mon Valley’s central information source. Without diverting from the above goals, the longer term goal is to become the preeminent voice for the Mon Valley business community. For too many years our representation has failed to produce significant legislation and sustainable beneficial outcomes for the Mon Valley community. As "ONE VOICE" we greatly improve the likelihood of experiencing real and lasting improvement in these needed outcomes… We must reverse the current trend of declining populations and less than stellar academic outcomes, business stagnation, emigration, and the associated costs of excessive taxes and regulation. We must complete the Expressway. We cannot fail to solve the above problems. For decades people have voted with their feet and have left both our region and Pennsylvania. We need a large and regional voice. Be part of that VOICE... |

Legislative Hot List In Pittsburgh, Harrisburg and Washington, DC, the Regional Chamber Alliance strives to promote public policy decisions that will bolster economic growth and improve our competitiveness locally, nationally and globally. We must lower taxes, government spending, and increase accountability for performance. We urge a sense of urgency, cooperation and partnership among governments, the business and civic communities to “get these things done.” Our Region The Regional Chamber Alliance serves the businesses along the Monongahela River and in the Turtle Creek Valley communities. Our region spans a long stretch of land that includes a wide variety of over 30 municipalities, from small urban cities to rural farmland. This is a hardy middle-class region with a rich history of heavy industry and steel production. Although several steel mills are still quite productive, the region has now changed to include more diversified businesses with a focus on service, healthcare and light manufacturing. Over 90% of businesses in Southwestern Pennsylvania have fewer than 50 employees. The decline in the industrial base of the area has made available quality sites for business development and expansion. The Mon Valley is a beautiful, scenic area following the Monongahela River, with its high banks and panoramic views. Additionally, the Monongahela and Youghiogheny river valleys boast of continuously expanding bike and walking trails, marinas, golf courses, amusement parks and many opportunities for water sports. |
